This work of art was influenced by Lake Catherine near my home in Florida.   There is just a short window of time that the Royal Poinciana blooms in South Florida around May to mid June.  The flowers are a cheery vibrant orange.  The trees only has a few leaves when they are in bloom.    The blue sky  and water compliment the orange flowers and green grass that is speckled with flower petals.

This marsh painting is done is in the impressionist style and is inspired by a trip we took last year to Charleston. On the way we stopped in Beaufort, South Carolina.  This lovely coastal town has some of the most beautiful marshes, beaches and waterways.  We got there  late on Sunday morning so it was pretty quite downtown.  We found a little restaurant called Blackstones.  It seemed popular with the locals so we stopped and we had a great breakfast.  We  did a little shopping down by the waterfront (a few stores were open by noon).  We enjoyed a long conversation with one of the store owners who was very friendly and gave us some tips on what to see and do.  We were only in town for the day before we headed for Charleston.  Next time, I would stay

Original Painting Available Vibrant Beach Art-Sea Sparkled Like a Jewel, 22x28 I enjoy painting and watching sunrises and sunsets!  No two are ever alike!  This beach artwork  has beautiful tones of blues and greens and the sun is making the ocean sparkle like a gem stone!  Some beaches near San Destin, Florida have lovely emerald green water. I guess that is why they call it the Emerald Coast.  They have some of my favorite beaches  in the panhandle of Florida!  I love the beach and community near Mexico Beach and Watercolor Beach!
