9x12" "Heaven Sent" Seaside Oil Painting Copyright: Amber Palomares, Fine Art Palm Beach, Florida The magnificent sunset sends a rainbow of color over the shimmering sea in this contemporary oil painting. During this special time, there is a magical spectacle when God paints the sky! This seaside painting is done in a Monet style. This is a special painting to me because it was something I created after losing our sweet dog, Chula.  Chula loved to chase seagulls on the beach, and she traveled with us to many seashores in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas.  Although she didn't like the water, she loved to chase the waves along the shore. I miss her so very much. I miss the pitter-patter of her little paws. The way she would tuck us in at night by going to the foot of the bed and not leaving until we were asleep.  I miss the way she would come running when I would cut an apple or a cucumber--those were some of her favorite treats. W

This marsh is vital to the headwaters of the Loxahatchee

This seascape painting was based on photographs I tool on South Padre Island, Texas last year.  We went see family and took a nice vacation on the island.  We stayed in one of my big brother's beach condos!  Sunrises and sunsets are my favorite times of the day, and they are my favorite subjects to paint!  Each one different and unique!   I woke up everyday and watched the sunrise and took lots of photographs.  There was one morning that had rain clouds, but the sunrise was gorgeous that morning too!  I will soon paint that breathtaking coastal scene too!

Coastal Decor Painting My favorite time to be at the beach is at sunrise or sunset and this coastal painting would be at home in any beach style home.  I saw the most magnificent sunrise on South Padre Island when I was there on vacation, and this painting was inspired by that sunrise.  The grassy dunes and Railroad Vines seem to greet the day as the sun rises above the glistening ocean.   This soft impressionist painting was completed with layers of glazing and is on a gallery wrapped canvas so no framing is necessary (the coastal painting continues around the sides).
