This beautiful blue house with a colorful tropical garden by the sea invites you to come in and put your flip flops on!  The sidewalk is lined with beautiful pink inpatients with petals that have gently fallen on the sidewalk and grass.  The large bird of paradise has a lush tropical garden underneath  with orange blooming bird, ferns and purple queen plants.  The front porch is highlighted by tropical bushes and a bougainvillea vine is in full bloom against the blue cottage wall.  Beyond the cottage, you have a view of the beautiful beach.

This little beach painting with a golden sunset sparkling  in the the green and blue ocean reminds me of early morning walks along the beach.  The waves in the painting  are sparkling from the sunlight.

I painted this with fond memories of a evening stroll with my husband down cobblestone streets in Charleston, South Carolina  What a sight to see the gas light street lamps along Charleston streets.  All the tourist were gone and the streets where quite.  It was like stepping back in time. This painting is not for sale, but I will be painting more Charleston paintings in the future as this is one of my favorite places!

Blue Hydrangea Painting "Blue Beauties" 9x12 Cotton Archival Canvas (3/4 in. depth_ Donated to Church Auction A little boy bought it for his Mom for Mother's Day (that made me smile) I am not able to grow blue hydrangeas in Florida but have been able to buy potted plants that will last a season.  A great substitute that I have found for the Hydrangea is the the Seminole Dombeya.  It grows large pink hydrangea like blooms and is a strong and sturdy plant for the South Florida.  In fact, it can take a hard cut back and blooms twice a year.  The bees love the flowers.  Since I can't grown one of my favorite blooming flowers, I often just paint them so I can enjoy the blooms all year long!

Violet Flower Paintings "Viva Violets" 8x10 Cotton Archival Canvas (3/4 in. depth) Acrylic A blue luminous background make these violets pop off the canvas and give the painting a three dimensional look. The purple flowers are highlited nicely by the softly painted green leaves.  Thy pot of flowers sits on a charming rustic table.
